Its particular purpose is\nto contribute to the comprehensive education of young people through the\nscouting educational method enlightened by the Catholic faith. The new group is a member of the Scout Association of Malawi\n(SAM). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Diocese of\nKaronga wants to grow the Catholic Scout Organization in order to reach out and\ndevelop more young people. To fulfill this purpose there is need to make sure\nthat the Scouting program is available and attractive to all young people in\nthe Diocese. This means doing some things differently by providing better\nsupport to Scout Groups, engaging proactively with schools and churches centres\nso that they start new Scout Groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a><strong>Our Vision<\/strong><\/a><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scout to become the prominent&nbsp;&nbsp; youth organization in the Diocese of\nKaronga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Mission of Scouting<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mission of\nthe Catholic Scout of the Diocese of Karonga is to contribute to the education\nof young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to\nhelp build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and\nplay a constructive role in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a><strong>We achieve this by<\/strong><\/a><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Involving\nthem through their formative years in a non-formal education process.<\/li><li>Using\na specific method that makes each individual the principal agent in his or her\ndevelopment as a self-reliant, supportive, responsible and committed person.<\/li><li>Assisting\nthem to establish a value system based upon spiritual, social and personal\nprinciples as expressed in the Promise and Law.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Catholic Scouts Organisation Introduction The Catholic Scout Organization of the Diocese of Karonga was established in October 2019 by Bishop Martin Mtumbuka.
