In the provision of its services, the Diocese\u00a0operates\u00a0through the Pastoral and Caritas Commissions while being supported by the Chancery and the Finance Departments. The Caritas Commission is the social development and charity arm of the Diocese. The Caritas Commission does its work through departments of Justice and Peace (CCJP), Education,\u00a0Health\u00a0and Development (CADECOM). The role focuses on improving farm productivity, promoting sustainable agriculture practices,&nbsp;monitoring&nbsp;field activities, and ensuring successful implementation of agricultural programs and projects.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Key Responsibilities<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.1. Farmer Support &amp; Training<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide&nbsp;technical guidance on crop production, soil management, pest and disease control, small scale irrigation, and livestock management.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct training sessions, demonstrations, and field days to build farmers\u2019 skills.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist&nbsp;farmers in adopting modern and&nbsp;climatesmart&nbsp;agricultural practices.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.2. Field Monitoring &amp; Data Collection<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Visit farms regularly to assess crop performance, farm challenges, and compliance with project guidelines.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collect, record, and report field data (yields, inputs used, climate conditions, etc.).&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify&nbsp;farming risks and recommend&nbsp;timely&nbsp;solutions.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.3. The indicators\/measurements will be reviewed and communicated to the&nbsp;LaCPO&nbsp;Intern from time to time in line with the growing and changing needs of the Diocese.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>&nbsp;Technical Performance&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increase in the number of pieces of land of the Diocese having duly completed Chief Consultation Forms and relevant maps.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Timely completion of construction works&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Timely submission of technical documents&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Knowledge, Experience and Personal Competencies&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A first degree in Land Management, Quantity Surveying, Architectural&nbsp;Studies&nbsp;and Civil Engineering.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At least 1 year post qualification experience in Land Management, Quantity Surveying, Architectural&nbsp;Studies&nbsp;or Construction.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conceptual understanding of the process of leasing land&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to design,&nbsp;cost&nbsp;and implement a construction project.
