{"id":1755,"date":"2018-12-19T19:51:18","date_gmt":"2018-12-19T19:51:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.karongadiocese.org\/?p=1755"},"modified":"2018-12-19T19:51:18","modified_gmt":"2018-12-19T19:51:18","slug":"youth-urged-to-utilize-exchange-visits-as-learning-and-evangelization-tool","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.karongadiocese.org\/index.php\/youth-urged-to-utilize-exchange-visits-as-learning-and-evangelization-tool\/","title":{"rendered":"Youth Urged to Utilize Exchange Visits As Learning and Evangelization Tool"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Phillip H Chisi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Youths from St Mary\u2019s and St Denis (Chilulu Outstation in Mzuzu Diocese) parishes have been called upon to utilize exchange visits as learning and evangelization tool.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1756\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1756\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-1756\" src=\"http:\/\/www.karongadiocese.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Chilulu-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Group discussion\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.karongadiocese.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Chilulu-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.karongadiocese.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Chilulu-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.karongadiocese.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Chilulu-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.karongadiocese.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Chilulu-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.karongadiocese.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Chilulu.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1756\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Group discussion<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Catechetical Methodology Advisor (CMA) for St Mary\u2019s Parish made this call at St Mary\u2019s Parish over the weekend when the Parish hosted Catholic youths from Chilulu Outstation St Denis Parish.<\/p>\n<p>In his speech, Catechetical Methodology Advisor (CMA) for St Mary\u2019s Parish said exchange visits have the capacity to create common understanding, forging relationships and sharing experiences.<\/p>\n<p>He further said through such visits youths renew their commitments to\u00a0 relevant approaches or make commitments to new approaches, and create friendships as friendships as foundation for future networking and evangelization.<\/p>\n<p>He added that visits benefit both the travelers and hosts as they both learn from each other\u2019s experiences, and approaches to living their faith.<\/p>\n<p>Catechist for St Mary\u2019s Zone, Catechist Mwamughunda urged both the visitors and the host to share whatever they have received with their friends back home.<\/p>\n<p>In appreciation the Youth Animator for St Denis Parish Mr. Mwandila, thanked the pastoral team of St Mary\u2019s Parish for accepting their request to visit St Mary\u2019s Parish.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe felt at home and above all you gave us the privilege to visit Tanzania side, a thing we never expected. We will be glad to welcome you at Chilulu Outstation,\u201d said Mwandila.<\/p>\n<p>Over 51 youth from Chilulu Outstation were part of the three day visit. They arrived on 14 and departed on 16 December.
